Hanjiacun, Inner Mongolia — A 1,400 t/hr FGX dry coal preparation plant has been in operation at Hanjiacun Mine in Inner Mongolia, China. Hanjiancun Mine is a subsidiary of Shenhua Energy, the world’s largest coal producer.  Located about 20 miles north of the city of Erdos, Inner Mongolia, Hanjiacun Coal Prep Plant employs two processing circuits in which +50 mm coal is processed by conventional heavy medium vessels and 50-0 mm material is treated by three FGX-48A separators. The FGX circuit at Hanjiacun Coal Prep Plant, at a feed rate of 1,400 t/hr, is reportedly to be the largest active dry coal processing facility in the world.

The raw-of-mine coal at Hanjiacun Mine is easy-to-wash in terms of washability and FGX clean coal ash of the FGX circuit is around 12%, which is sold directly as a final product at Hanjiacun Mine. Significant economic and environmental benefits have been obtained at Hanjiacun through applying the highly efficient and cost-effective FGX dry coal processing technology. The prep plan boasts of $2,000,000 annual savings on water cost alone due to the use of FGX technology.
